Q & A

FAQ's for AllBreed North:

What kind of training method do you use?

We use positive reinforcements, praise and treats. Clickers are not our main form of training, but we do allow students to use it in class with their dogs. Gentle Leaders are allowed and encouraged.

How long have you been in business?

The owner and lead trainer, Jake, grew up training and showing dogs. He has been working with his mother, Debra Schneider, owner of AllBreed Obedience & Behavioral School for Dogs in Woodbury, Mn for about 5 years. Debra has been training dogs for nearly 20 years and has been running AllBreed for about 12. Last year, we decided to branch off and open up AllBreed North.

Do you offer a guarantee?

Just as in life, there are no guarantees. We believe that the biggest part of your dog's success lies in your hands. We teach you what to practice and it's up to you to follow through. If you do encounter further problems, we are here to answer any questions, even if you haven't been in our class for months!

Do you have a rule against dogs barking in class?

Dogs tend to bark for various reasons; excitement, stress, etc. It's a natural thing. It's when it becomes obsessive that we use redirection to stop the behavior.

Do you have a maximum occupancy?

Yes. Depending on the situation, we limit the number of dogs. For instance, for Puppy Kindergarten, we allow up to 5 dogs per class. We want to give the best personal attention to each dog and handler.

What do you charge?

Our prices vary for our services. Puppy Kindergarten is a 6 week class and cost $75. Research your area for pricing and decide what you are most comfortable with. Just remember, you get what you pay for.
