Boarding your dog at AllBreed North
Dogs are welcomed into our home like family; we love and care for them just as we do our own. They hang out with us in our house and stay in our specially designed dog room in our walkout lower level. It's like having your own personal, professional pet sitter!
Cost is $30 per Night. (extended stay and multiple dog discounts are available) Effective Sept. 1 2010; $35/Night plus $20 Transportation Fee (if applicable), waived on totals of $200 or more. Daily walks and light grooming or any other special needs are given at your request at no extra charge. We also provide toys, bones, and treats. (Fresh, frozen beef marrow bones and doggy ice cream are known to be given regularly) We also exclusively give Doctors Foster and Smith Dental Mint Biscuits for every time they go to their crate!
We have many years of experience with animals and have been boarding in our home since early 2009. We are both trained in Canine First Aid and CPR, and Jenny is certified in Human Medication Administration.
We specialize in taking dogs with issues, such as anxiety, shyness, etc. Dogs that don't normally do well in kennel facility situations do very well here, as it is a home setting. D.A.P. plug-in (Dog Appeasing Pheromones) is also available for dogs with crate/ separation anxiety at no extra charge.
We also offer training while your dog stays with us at an additional cost. Please see Board and Train on the Services page.
For those of you in the Twin Cities, we offer complimentary pick up and drop off at AllBreed Obedience in Woodbury, or your home if it's closer to us. Please be aware that it costs us almost $40 in gas to do this, so any voluntary help would be greatly appreciated! (Other meeting places can also be arranged. The half-way point is Forest Lake) Effective Sept. 1 2010; $20 Transportation Fee, waived on totals of $200 or more.
We want your dog to be comfortable and we try to keep as closely to their regular routine as possible within our schedule.
Our General Daily Schedule is as follows:
7AM- Wake up and go outside, then come back to their crates* for breakfast and to rest their tummies for about a half hour. (To help prevent bloat)
8AM- Doggy Daycare starts and everybody goes outside to play, play, play! (If the weather is not good, we will play in the classroom downstairs and hang out around the house.)
11:30- Lunch time! Everyone goes to their crate* for lunch if given, or a nap if needed. (And we get a much needed break!)
1PM- Everyone goes back outside to potty and play for as long as they need to.. (Naps are given periodically throughout the day as needed.)
5PM- Doggy Daycare ends and everyone goes to their crate* for dinner and rest.
6PM- Go outside to potty and play some more!
10PM- Bed time! Everyone gets a Foster and Smith Dental Mint Biscuit for bed! (Unless told not to due to food allergies, restrictions, etc.)
*Please note that all dogs are kenneled unless we are told otherwise, in open metal crates. If they are used to plastic, please send theirs along.

Here's a letter from one of our boarding clients:
Hi Jake and Jenny,
Thanks for taking care of Zoie while we were on vacation. When we picked
her up, I forgot to ask how the training went, but we noticed right
away that you had worked with her. She is so much better about not biting
and jumping and getting into stuff. When she starts getting bitey, we
respond right away the way we noticed Jenny doing when we dropped her
off, saying "ow" and "no bite" really strongly.
She responds to that well. She also is much better about not jumping
up on people she meets at the dog park. Although she stole someones
hat and ran around playing keep away with it for a while. She really
likes hats. Anyway, I just wanted to thank you. She finally has graduated
to being allowed in the rest of the house and is doing well. She is
not eating everything she sees, just sniffing and moving on. Once she
has explored, she settles down with us in the living room.
Just as Maria V. did, we also would recommend you to anyone else.
Thanks,
Karen W.
