Overnight Trial Stay
~ Prepare for your dog's visit ~
We provide their crate/kennel (+ exercise pen for young puppies), stainless steel bowls, clean bedding, safe toys, non-edible bones, and healthy biscuits/treats.
First Hour: intro, meet-and-greet, sniff, potty, and get settled in (+30 minutes of formal crate training if you purchased the add-on service)
We won't do any other training, but we do interact with them similar to how we would when they'd come for training and observe their behavior
Depending on the dogs and timing, we may introduce them to the main group to be let out together (dog friendliness is not required to pass)
We'll be in the house, but we are also able to monitor them with a camera in the dog room, and we can interrupt inappropriate behaviors if needed
Meal Times: we usually feed them around 4:30pm and 6:30am with the food you provide, and the amount you indicate in the customer portal
When you pick them up, we will give you a verbal report about how they did and let you know if they can be accepted for a B&T program
Please bring the following for your dog...
Non-slip Collar with Identification
4-6 ft Leash (not retractable)
Regular Food (& Medications) + extra
Slow-feed Bowl if needed
Treats if they have a sensitive stomach
Medical Supplies if needed
Behavior Aids if needed
Walking/Training Tools if needed
[Optional: Their own Bedding]

No, no matter if they pass or fail, you are paying for our time and care for your dog for the time they're here.
If, after the application and phone call, we decide to move forward, we will wait until you have registered and uploaded your dog's UTD vaccination & Recent fecal+giardia test results into our customer portal, to let you know what dates and times we have available.
We test only one dog per night (although multiple dogs from the same household may be allowed to do it together for convenience); we usually have them dropped off either between 2-3pm, or at 6pm, then picked up between 9-11am the following morning.
Because of issues we've had in the past, we are screening for separation and/or crate anxiety... if a dog shows signs of distress such as heavy panting/drooling, pacing, whining, barking/howling, and/or pushing on, scratching at, or chewing on the crate door, we will not accept them for a B&T Program.
No. We work really hard to make your dog feel comfortable and help them settle in... if they are having a hard time, it puts extra stress on everyone in the house. If it helps them get through the overnight hours, we may even sleep on the floor next to their crate so everyone else can sleep.
