Introducing The Pet Guardian Protocol™
The System That Intervenes If Something Might Be Wrong
if something suddenly happens to YOU??
As pet parents, we often worry about what to do if our pets have an emergency. But far fewer of us stop to ask, “What if something happens to me, and no one knows my pets need help?”
That’s exactly what the Pet Guardian Protocol™ is designed for. This simple, secure daily check-in system ensures that if you ever become unreachable, your trusted contacts are alerted automatically on your behalf - so your pets are never left waiting.
You'll get a quick push notification or email prompt at your chosen time(s)... Then you'll tap "I'm OK" to check in, and the system will remain on standby.
If you don't respond within your grace period, your emergency contacts will be notified automatically, in your chosen order.
If it's not a false alarm, each of your pets' emergency contacts will receive secure links with your care instructions - no app required.
about the Pet Guardian Protocol™
“I think this is a wonderful idea! I hope it starts soon — there’s really nothing else like it for people who live alone with pets.”
“This idea fills a gap I didn’t even realize existed. It’s comforting to know there could be a safety net for my pets if something unexpected happened.”
“We always assume someone will notice if something’s wrong, but that’s not a plan. I love that this creates an actual system to make sure my pets are never left waiting.”
“This would be such a relief for older pet owners or anyone without nearby family. Just knowing someone would be alerted if I didn’t check in would bring me peace of mind.”
“It sounds like a great idea. I’m not sure how it would work for me yet, but the concept is strong, especially for pet parents without a solid backup plan.”
“It’s simple, smart, and something every pet owner should have in place. I can’t believe this doesn’t already exist!”
It’s an automated system that checks in with you at your chosen time(s), and alerts your pets' caregivers if you don’t respond. It's not a hotline, and you won't need a special keychain or window sticker... if you might be in trouble, it quickly jumps into action for you.
In most cases, no. This is designed to alert the people you trust most - friends, neighbors, local pet sitters or boarders who offer transportation - because they can usually step in the fastest. That said, if you're a local client we know well, there may be rare situations where we can help directly.
Not at all... You'll choose your own local contacts who can step in when needed. Your pets will be well taken care of by the people they know and trust - even if it's not us.
To be perfectly honest, *Stuff* Happens!! And as professional caretakers for over 17 years, we've been on the other end of the emergency calls - picking up a dog after he attacked one of his owners (while the other was across the country), finding a new home for a 10 year old with severe separation anxiety because his mom became incapacitated - all for owners under the age of 35.
Absolutely. Your information is encrypted and only visible to those you authorize. We never sell or share your data with third parties.
Each pet gets their own emergency contact list. This flexibility lets you customize plans for various types of pets with different needs or relationships.
YES - Please do!! You'll list people who can: 1) quickly check on you to ensure it's not a false alarm, 2) take care of your pets temporarily and 3) act as your pets' godparents if needed.
Not unless they want to protect their own pets as well. We designed the Pet Guardian Protocol™ to be able to include friends, family, neighbors, and professional pet caretakers alike - no app download required!
While we hope that never happens, it is a valid concern... The system itself does not intervene physically (can't call 911, etc.), and if we are not listed as one of your contacts [which is perfectly fine], we will not be alerted. It's critical that you choose reliable, reachable contacts - and to update them regularly.
